How To Help
I'm told that I will probably have to apply to a hundred companies in order to find a job. If you can connect me with someone by telling my story, that number might go down to ninety-nine.

Hardy Har Har
There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed a desire to become a 'great' writer. When asked to define "great" he said "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, wail, howl in pain, desperation, and anger!" He now works for Microsoft writing error messages.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,Eight weeks of newsletters! I knew I was supposed to be dilligent but never thought that I'd end up keeping myself moving for this many weeks in a row. I want you to know that I really appreciate you all letting my project into your lives. Not only have I gotten many good tips and ideas from you, but having to write this each week has also served as a good accountability moment. Assessing what I've done and what I should do next is really helpful. I'll admit there have been a few extra energetic Sundays as I realized that I didn't have much to show for the previous week. I was talking with a friend about this and he told me a story of a person that ended up taking a completely different direction in his job hunt. If you have know anyone that has done something novel during unemployment or found a job that is unusual or has a story that you think might contain useful advice, please send me some email. Thanks for your help! Sincerely, tqii

Current Happenings
Quiet week. Sent apps. Sent email messages. Called some people on the phone. Didn't get a job yet. I'm thinking that it might be the middle of summer and that this might be a slow season for hiring new people.
