Dear Walgreens,
I found your ad for an Internet Business Analyst on Monster.com and would like to be considered for the job. I have been a project manager in situations ranging from serious system engineering to web development to the implementation of an entire business unit. I have run software teams, done corporate budgeting and know how to schedule work and motivate people to insure that work gets done satisfactorily. I believe that these are the skills that will allow me to do an excellent job for Walgreens.
In my most recent job, I was tasked with building a website that included sales content management, e-commerce (with special, complicated signup requirements) and the provisioning of customized software installers. I worked with the marketing company to develop requirements and supervised a successful implementation.
As a consultant, I have a lot of experience working with clients and understanding their needs. I have become good at extracting requirements and documenting them. As a web designer, I have a good feel for user interaction and architecture.
That said, throughout my career, my main function has been as a project manager. Whether as a technicals sales support rep working with a sales person and client to organize the deal and subsequent implementation or working as a marketing director to create a large trade show booth, my main function has been to sort out the needs and abilities of various constituencies, document them, and arrange for goals to be reached in a timely and economical way.
I believe that these experiences will make me an excellent Internet Business Analyst for Walgreens. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this further.
Best Regards,
TQ White II
