I saw your ad for a "PHP Developer" on Craig"s List. I would like to be considered for the job. I am an expert PHP/mySQL developer. I have written web applications ranging from content management to order entry systems to social networking software. In addition, I am an experienced project manager with a good reputation for completing excellent work on time. I wrote an RSS feed for my personal website just this last weekend.

Perhaps more importantly, I am the perfect person for "key strategic initiatives" of this sort. I think making websites do more, interesting things to support business is a lot of fun and always have a lot of ideas. Inspired by a client brainstorm a few years ago, I ended up writing an automated production control system that read customer email messages, updated the company databases, sent emails to vendors (containing both readable and XML versions), received their responses and so on. It was a flexible "master of the universe" application based on one of the clients "so-called brilliant ideas".

In addition to being a broadly experienced business person, I am an easy-going, self-motivated person. I like to be helpful and contribute to a positive, productive work environment. This and my extraordinary technical skills and experiences will allow me to make a very strong contribution to the Alan Ross Machinery Corp.
