Dear Orbitz,
I found your ad for 'Cross Site Initiatives (CSI) Product Analyst' on Monster.com. My career has been based on my ability to understand complicated things, organize them and write them down in ways that allow people to take action. From my earliest days in R.R. Donnelley and Sons R&D lab where I wrote specs for, and made presentations to senior management about, our invention of digital imaging technology, to recent times when I wrote a business plan for an online business initiative, I have been able to motivate change and improvement for my employers. Combined with my decade of experience leading internet application and marketing efforts, I believe this will allow me to make an excellent contribution to Orbitz.
My analytic and communication skills serve as a strong base for this job but I think the more important contributions to success at Orbitz are my personal versatility and intelligence. Throughout my career, I have had many occasions where I needed to bring resources together, develop and guides teams and champion progress in a wide variety of situations. For one company, I analyzed, documented and eventually co-lead a new national sales organization. For another, I was the marketing liaison with overseas R&D, responsible for developing a five-year plan for the product line. I learn and adapt to new situations very quickly.
The point is that I have had many occasions where I mastered new environments, technologies and skills with the result that my employer, co-workers and boss were able to experience greater success. I am a good communicator, functional in the requirements you list for this job, and enjoy collaborating. I also, by the way, have substantial technical experience as a website developer.
Where I have worked, I have always found a way to do more than was expected. I am confident that I can do just that at Orbitz.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this further.
Best Regards,
TQ White II
