Dear CCH People,
I found your ad for a business analyst on Monster.com and would like to be considered for the position. I am a long-experienced business manager with an extremely varied background. I have carried out successful consulting projects for large publishing companies. I was a frequent presenter to the Technical Advisory Council of R.R. Donnelley & Sons and other large companies. For several years, I was a sales consultant where I was responsible for analysis of client production systems and report on directions for their improvement. This frequently included production process, equipment, client management and other business issues. These experiences, among others, make me certain that I can be a tremendous contributor to CCH's consulting practice.
The skills I would bring to your company include those that have allowed me to develop high-quality business plans that include market analysis (for example, an entire product marketing plan for a company entering the newspaper industry), advanced spreadsheet modelling (for my last company needed a complete model of all production and customer issues supporting a wide variety of 'what if' inquiries as well as serving as an exhibit in their business plan), and excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
In addition, I have a wealth of experience in the internet industry. I am an accomplished website technologist with development experience and substantial experience working with clients and employers to expand their online presence and success. I have developed affiliate marketing programs, done natural search engine optimization, bought keyword ad campaigns, etc. I also have a thorough understanding of the world of web communications including familiarity with such things as RSS aggregation, tagging, business blogging, and so on.
More important, though, I am a highly creative person. Whether for an employer or a consulting client, I believe it is fair to say that I have radically improved processes and business lives wherever I work. Whether it was a boss that needed to design a national accounts sales department and didn't really know how, or a company that had a VP of Marketing that was a sales coach and needed someone to figure out how to handle the media, develop a major trade show presence and get online, or the planning, funding and implementation of an online business unit, I have been able to rise to the challenge, find unusual and appropriate ways of moving forward to help everyone be more efficient and make more money.
I am confident that my years of experience working in a wide variety of business contexts, especially including my long involvement and fascination with the internet world, equip me to take very good care of your clients and to add a very strong skill-set to your portfolio.
Please call, I look forward to discussing this further.
Best Regards,
TQ White II
